The BQH series bellows tube instantaneous heat exchanger combines the best features of two popular technologies. The bellows-shaped tube walls create turbulence as fluid flows through them. This turbulence disrupts the laminar flow layer and increases contact between the fluid outside the tube and the tube surface. In steam-to-water operation, the heat transfer coefficient reaches 4,300 to 5,500 Kcal/m²·°C·h. In water-to-water operation, the coefficient ranges from 1,800 to 4,400 Kcal/m²·°C·h. These values are comparable to the performance of plate heat exchangers. Unlike plate units, however, this product does not require gasket replacement every year or two. This helps keep maintenance costs low over the service life of the equipment.

Material Options and Customization

The shell can be made of carbon steel, carbon steel lined with copper, or stainless steel. The tube bundle uses thin-wall bellows tubes made of copper or stainless steel.
