The RV-03 horizontal storage type heat exchanger solves a common problem in commercial HVAC design. Many customers ask why two tanks with the same diameter can perform so differently. The answer lies in heat transfer efficiency. Our RV-03 uses small-diameter tube bundles with a multi-pass flow arrangement. Steam enters the unit and travels through multiple passes before reaching the condensate outlet. This design extracts more heat from the steam than standard tanks. Field tests show that this product delivers 1.2 to 2 times the heat exchange capacity of conventional models with the same shell diameter.
What This Means for Your Project
This performance advantage changes how you size equipment for your building. You do not need to oversize the tank just to cover peak demand periods that last only ten or fifteen minutes. The cold water zone remains confined to a very small area at the bottom of the tank. The usable volume reaches 90% of the total shell capacity. In steam-to-water operation, the condensate outlet temperature is about 55°C. This temperature is low enough for direct discharge into standard drainage systems. You do not need to install additional steam traps. The multi-pass flow path allows heat to transfer repeatedly through the tube bundle. Almost all the thermal energy from the steam remains inside the shell.
